Enterprise architecture (EA) has long served as the structural backbone for aligning IT systems with business strategies. In recent years, the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Business Information Systems (BIS) has transformed the traditional EA into a dynamic, self-adaptive framework. This paper explores how AI augments BIS capabilities within EA to create intelligent decision-making environments, enhance operational efficiencies, and foster digital transformation. Drawing on established literature and recent technological developments, we offer an integrative framework and practical insights into this synergy.
