Abstract

Organizations are increasingly adopting digital technologies to improve operational efficiency, customer experiences, and business agility. However, integrating diverse applications, legacy systems, cloud platforms, and data sources remain a major challenge. API-led architecture has emerged as a strategic approach to enterprise integration by enabling modular, reusable, and scalable connectivity across systems. This paper examines the role of API-led architecture in supporting scalable enterprise integration and digital transformation initiatives. It discusses the architectural layers, benefits, implementation considerations, and challenges associated with API-led connectivity. The study highlights how organizations can leverage APIs to improve interoperability, accelerate innovation, and support business growth. A conceptual framework and comparative analysis are provided to the practical significance of API-led architecture in modern enterprises.
